5 Stars Works Great
I bought this after I bought the cigarette lighter mount (disaster) and it works great. I was worried that it would bounce the GPS if I went over bumps but it is pretty stable. Easy to install, good price. I wish I bought this first.
5 Stars Works perfectly
I’ve had this device for almost six months and it’s been my guide (along with my GPS) to Vegas, LA, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, San Francisco, Santa Cruz, and back! I bought it for my BMW 325ci and it fits perfectly. My dad know wants one, too! It works on his Honda Pilot. We’ve tried it. Very stable, doesn’t damage vents, and is very sturdy. I highly recommend this since you can easily detach it from your vents without sticky tape or any other harmful adhesive that may damage your car.
5 Stars Works perfectly for me
Works fine for my CR-V. Fits in the vent very nicely and the Nuvi is easy to fix and remove on a daily basis. Can also be adjusted to tilt the Nuvi towards the driver.
4 Stars Didn’t work on a Civic, but worked on an Altima
I purchased 2 of these from Amazon, one for an 02 Honda Civic, the other for an 08 Nissan Altima. It worked great on the Altima but the arms were a little too thick to fit through the vent slots on the Civic. When you press down on the tweezer like arms (have to really push on these btw) the spread of them is too large to fit. I’m going to file or Dremel down the retaining stops on them to reduce the overall thickness and it should work.
Still gonna give it 4 stars, almost next to impossible to make something that works for every vehicle known to man. They are well built.
5 Stars Garmin should include this as a standard piece
This little gadget is very good. I originally bought Garmin’s standard bean bag. Although it worked well and it was very stable, it was also very bulky. My dash is very short, so there was not much space to put it on the dashboard. So I bought this instead. The package it came in was super cheap (just a plastic bag), and the plastic on this item feels very cheap, but it provides surprisingly stable base for GPS. It puts GPS in a perfect position to look, and touch and still give me some air from the vent. Since this attachment probably can be made very cheaply if Garmin decided to include this in every GPS they sell, I don’t know why they don’t do that. For those who has to use a beanbag or suction cup would use a beanbag or suction cup anyway. This is a way better solution than their included suction cup style holder. No sticky adhesives. If you are thinking about getting this, and if you have normal horizontal vent slats, get this attachment, you won’t regret it. And it’s CHEAP!!
