4 Stars Great little GPS
My first GPS. It has most everything I need/want. The ‘maps’ that come installed on it are - not detailed to be of much worth. It just makes you tempted to buy the $100+ set of maps offered by Garmin. However, it does everything else that I want it to do. I’m still learning about it - but am very satisfied. And . . . I was completely satisfied purchasing from Adorama - I have kept their catalogue and will hope to do further business with them.
5 Stars fun for the whole family
Picked up this GPS to start Geocaching with the family. Great little device which is easy to use and rugged enough to stand up to two 3.5 year olds and a 6 year old.
3 Stars Descent GPS handheld
Using the unit as delivered was fairly simple since I have use a variety of GPS systems in the past. The maps supplied with the GPS were barely useful. I did load some Garmin Topo maps in the system which added a new dimension to the unit. With the addition of those Topo Maps, I would give it a better grade. Additional storage space would have been a plus. It’s just ok!

The eTrex Venture as with the rest of the Garmin line works great. I use this unit while trail riding and am yet to loose signal in the thickest woods. The only thing that would make it better is if it came with mapping software.
